The Science Department at Ryecroft CE Middle School is committed to providing high-quality learning that lays the foundations for understanding the world through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics.
We aspire to develop pupils who are critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators and team players. Pupils that are capable of applying their scientific knowledge to contemporary issues, making connections between scientific disciplines, and pursuing post-secondary education or careers based on the STEM subjects.
We will empower them to fulfil their duty as citizens and help them feel more confident in the decisions they may need to make about family health and nutrition or environmental concerns. Science has changed our lives and is vital to the world’s future prosperity.
